The European Federation for Catholic Adult Education

The European Federation for Catholic Adult Education (FEECA) connects national umbrella-organisations of Catholic adult education to a European network and sees its task as the promotion of human dignity and the human right of holistic education in a pluralistic European society.

FEECA is engaged in making its policy proposals visible and promotes their implementation through annual conferences that try to explain the individual and social importance of adult education and its effects.

In 2013 FEECA particularly focused on the inclusion of ethnic minorities in Europe; in 2014 the emphasis is on family education.

Take a holistic and broader approach towards adult education in Europe

Targeted Institutions:
European Commission, European Parliament, Council of the EU

The promotion of adult education in Europe within the framework of the Europe 2020 strategy and of the strategic framework  “ET 2020“ should not be limited only to formal vocational training. It also needs to include the non-formal and, in particular, political education and to be open to all social groups.
